William Lewis & Aaron Auxier Discuss Real Estate, AI, & WLH

A Conversation With William & Aaron

Williams Luxury Homes founder and CEO William Lewis and Aaron Auxier, President of the Celeb & Sports Division and Chief AI Officer, have worked together since 2019. Both have been in real estate since the early 2000s. Today, we catch up with them about their love of real estate and WLH.

WLH: How did you two end up working together?

WILLIAM: We met in 2019. I had a good thing going with WLH, and Aaron brought some interesting ideas. We had a lot in common, especially our interest in technology. The timing worked.

AARON: William had built something I wanted to be part of. I liked his approach, and I saw opportunities to expand what WLH was doing. We clicked. I wanted to come on board.

WLH: What do you enjoy most about real estate today?

WILLIAM: The people. I've built relationships throughout Greater Phoenix for years. I enjoy working with clients, developers, and other professionals. There's always something new happening.

AARON: The constant change. I follow development and business news closely. There's never a shortage of interesting stories. I love being involved in a market that's growing this quickly.

WLH: How has Greater Phoenix changed since you started?

WILLIAM: It's become a much more sophisticated market. We have international interest, major investors, and properties selling for tens of millions. The opportunities are remarkable.

AARON: The amount of investment is incredible. Look at North Phoenix, Scottsdale Airpark, and the Scottsdale Road & Loop 101 Corridor. New employers, private aviation, luxury residences. It's exciting to watch.

WLH: What's the most important thing clients should expect from WLH?

WILLIAM: Personal attention. We want to understand what someone needs and represent them properly. Good relationships and sound judgment are central to our philosophy.

AARON: Discernment. Not every opportunity is right for every client. Sometimes the best advice is to slow down and ask another question. Or walk away.

WLH: You've introduced some specialized services. What's behind that?

WILLIAM: Privacy is a major consideration for some clients. As an example, we have an in-house division that focuses on off-market properties. It gives us another approach when someone wants a more discreet transaction.

AARON: Our Celeb & Sports Division addresses similar needs. Certain clients require additional privacy and careful coordination. We built both divisions with those priorities in mind.

WLH: How are you using technology differently today?

WILLIAM: We're using in quite a bit of ways. Something I love is how granular we can get on data, info that helps us save money for our clients. And we love finding new ways to support our agents and improve our marketing. We've always been interested in what's next.

AARON: Through WLH AI, we're studying local market patterns and exploring new ways to identify buyers. There's a lot we can do with the technology, we're just mindful to not create junk. Nobody needs more of that.

WLH: How do you balance technology with the human side of real estate?

WILLIAM: Technology is a tool. Relationships are still what matter. Clients want someone they trust, especially when significant money is involved.

AARON: We're careful about that balance. We feel that as technology grows, the best way for a human to survive it is to improve their own humanity.

WLH: What makes your business relationship work?

WILLIAM: We have different strengths. I know the inventory and have relationships throughout the market. Aaron follows marketing, development, and technology closely. We complement each other.

AARON: William's market knowledge is exceptional. I bring a different perspective, particularly with research and digital strategy. We both love finding new ways to improve what we're doing.

WLH: What are you seeing among luxury buyers today?

WILLIAM: Buyers are informed and selective. They want privacy, good advice, and access to opportunities. We're seeing interest from across the country and overseas.

AARON: Greater Phoenix has become a destination for significant wealth. We've seen that firsthand, including a recent visit with an overseas investment group. It's a different world here than it was twenty years ago.

WLH: What's happening behind the scenes at WLH?

WILLIAM: We're always balancing spending time on refining our operations yet also being out there applying our knowledge in real-world ways that helps our clients. WLH is comprised of excellent people. I love the direction we're heading.

AARON: All of us have our ow unique special ability in this industry. We work together. We're also always learning the latest in marketing, research, tech, specialized services, you name it.

WLH: Where do you want to take WLH next?

WILLIAM: I want to keep growing our capabilities without losing the personal nature of the business. We'll remain selective about how we expand.

AARON: Ever since I got licensed in 2004 I absolutely loved hand-built, from-the-heart brokerages. That's exactly what we are. I love it!

WLH: What makes your careers so fun?

WILLIAM: I enjoy building relationships and negotiating deals. There's always another new opportunity to create right around the corner. No two days are alike.

AARON: We're doing work we love, in a constantly growing metro and evolving industry. That's a good place to be if you love helping others and doing business as much as we enjoy it.
