Grayhawk
Grayhawk
Grayhawk is a large master-planned community in North Scottsdale, set across roughly 1,615 acres just north of Loop 101. Nearly 3,800 homes are spread among 31 neighborhoods, with everything from condos and townhomes to single-family residences, villas and custom homes. Pinnacle Peak and the McDowell Mountains shape much of the backdrop.
One of Grayhawk’s strengths is how much is built into the community. Golf, parks, multi-use trails and neighborhood amenities are all close by, while Hayden Road, Scottsdale Road and Loop 101 provide easy access to dining, shopping, healthcare and the rest of North Scottsdale.

Community Features
Grayhawk is organized around two main areas: The Park and The Retreat.
- The Park: This section includes single-family neighborhoods along with condo communities such as The Edge, Encore, Tesoro, The Venu, Village at Grayhawk and Vintage.
- The Retreat: Raptor Retreat and Talon Retreat form the gated side of Grayhawk, with staffed main entrances and a mix of single-family homes, villas and condos.
- Grayhawk Golf Club: Two public 18-hole courses, Raptor and Talon, create 36 holes of golf through the Sonoran Desert.
- Golf & Dining: The club is also home to Quill Creek Restaurant & Grill, Isabella’s Kitchen and The Morning Joint, all open to the public.
- 30+ Miles Of Trails: Multi-use trails run throughout Grayhawk and connect many of its neighborhoods and open spaces.
- Parks & Recreation: Grayhawk Park and Thompson Peak Park add sports fields, courts, playgrounds and other recreation nearby.
- Neighborhood Amenities: Pools, tennis courts and other facilities are found within select communities, especially throughout The Retreat.
- Everyday Conveniences: Grocery stores, restaurants and services are available around Grayhawk Plaza, Hayden Peak Crossing and the surrounding North Scottsdale area.
Grayhawk Elementary School is located within the community and is part of the Paradise Valley Unified School District. School boundaries can vary by address, so assignments should always be confirmed for a specific property.

Real Estate Options
Housing in Grayhawk varies considerably from one neighborhood to another. Condo communities such as The Edge, Vintage and Cachet offer lower-maintenance options, while The Park includes a wide range of detached homes. Inside The Retreat, neighborhoods such as Crown Point, Firenze, Serenity and Talon Fairways add gated residences, golf-course settings and larger custom properties.
That variety is part of Grayhawk’s appeal. Buyers can choose a lock-and-leave condo, a home near community parks and trails, or a custom residence overlooking the golf course. Add the public Raptor and Talon courses, North Scottsdale dining and quick Loop 101 access, and Grayhawk offers a lifestyle that feels established without feeling dated.
