Troon Village

Troon Mountain rises through the center of Troon Village, shaping one of North Scottsdale’s most distinctive residential settings. Across approx. 1,400 acres, the village contains 12 residential areas with townhomes, semi-custom residences, custom homes, golf course properties, and select homesites. Gated, guard-gated, and non-gated neighborhoods are all represented. Nearby Troon North is a separate community with its own residential areas and golf courses.

Elevation changes throughout Troon Village create a wide range of settings. Some homes overlook the fairways of Troon Country Club, while others face Pinnacle Peak, the McDowell Mountains, surrounding desert, or distant city lights. Architecture and lot sizes vary considerably between the individual neighborhoods.

Homes, Golf, & Desert Recreation

Troon Village is organized through 12 sub-associations, giving buyers several distinct residential environments to explore. The private Troon Country Club sits at the heart of the golf experience, while the surrounding foothills provide access to some of North Scottsdale’s signature desert recreation.

  • Residential Areas: Artesano, Ballantrae Ridge, Desert Views/Four Peaks, Glenn Moor, Quail Ridge, Skye Top, Troon East/Saddleback, Troon Fairways, Troon Mountain, Tusayan, Whispering Ridge, and Windy Walk make up the 12 sub-associations.
  • Real Estate: Townhomes, semi-custom homes, custom residences, golf course homes, and homesites are found throughout Troon Village.
  • Gated Neighborhoods: Residential choices include guard-gated, gated, and non-gated sections.
  • Troon Country Club: The private, member-owned club features an 18-hole championship course designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf.
  • Golf Course Homes: Select properties border or overlook the Troon Country Club course, with additional mountain and desert settings throughout the village.
  • Club Amenities: Golf practice facilities, dining, fitness, swimming, tennis, and other amenities are available to club members.
  • Outdoor Recreation: Pinnacle Peak Park and the McDowell Sonoran Preserve put hiking, mountain biking, and extensive Sonoran Desert trails nearby.
  • North Scottsdale: Restaurants, shopping, healthcare, resorts, additional golf courses, and everyday services are available throughout the surrounding area.

Life Around Troon Mountain

The mountain changes the character of the community from one neighborhood to another. Townhomes occupy some sections, while custom estates climb into elevated desert terrain elsewhere. Golf frontage, boulder formations, saguaros, mountain views, and city-light vistas create additional differences between properties.

Troon Village has its own identity as a North Scottsdale golf community centered around Troon Mountain and the private Troon Country Club. Troon North expands the golf, custom-home, and outdoor lifestyle nearby, but remains a separate community. Together, the two names define a significant portion of the luxury residential landscape in this part of North Scottsdale.
