Kierland

Kierland is a roughly 730-acre master-planned community in North Scottsdale where homes, golf, resort amenities, shopping and dining come together in a relatively compact area. Residential options range from single-family homes and townhomes to luxury condos and high-rise residences, with some properties overlooking the golf course or surrounding mountains.

The location is a big part of the appeal. Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter create a major dining and shopping destination right beside the community, while The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa adds golf, restaurants and spa amenities nearby. Scottsdale Airport and the Airpark are also just a short distance away. Kierland Commons alone has more than 80 specialty retailers and restaurants.

Homes, Townhomes, & Condos In Kierland

Kierland offers several very different ways to live, which is one reason the area attracts attention beyond its golf course.

  • Single-Family Homes: Established residential streets include one- and two-story homes, with select properties positioned along the golf course.
  • Kierland Greens: This community includes condos and townhome-style residences, many with patios, balconies and golf course settings.
  • Kierland Heritage: Built by Cachet Homes, Kierland Heritage offers attached and detached residences with select homes overlooking the course.
  • Plaza Lofts At Kierland: Located directly at Kierland Commons, Plaza Lofts includes 84 luxury condos above the shops and restaurants, putting dining and retail right outside the building.
  • Optima Kierland: These contemporary high-rise residences add rooftop pools, fitness amenities, outdoor gathering spaces and expansive views to the neighborhood’s housing mix.
  • The Westin Kierland Golf Club: The Scott Miller-designed resort course currently offers 27 holes across the Acacia, Ironwood and Mesquite nines and is managed by Troon.
  • Golf Course Redevelopment Proposal: As of August 2026, Host Hotels & Resorts has proposed redeveloping the nine-hole Mesquite Course as Copper Residences. The current plan would retain Acacia and Ironwood as an 18-hole golf operation. The proposal remains in the City of Phoenix rezoning process.
  • Shopping & Dining: Kierland Commons and neighboring Scottsdale Quarter put restaurants, boutiques, entertainment and everyday services close to home.
  • Resort Setting: The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa includes restaurants, Agave Spa and the golf club, adding another layer to the immediate neighborhood.

Living In Kierland

Kierland makes it easy to choose the type of home that fits the lifestyle. You can live along the golf course, choose a lower-maintenance condo or townhome, or go vertical at Plaza Lofts or Optima Kierland. Restaurants, coffee, shopping and resort amenities are nearby, so there is plenty happening without having to go far.

The surrounding area keeps evolving, too. The Parque, a major mixed-use development planned for the former CrackerJax property on Scottsdale Road, is expected to add residences, restaurants, retail, a hotel and substantial public open space just north of Kierland and Scottsdale Quarter. Loop 101, Scottsdale Airport and the Airpark are also close, helping make Kierland one of North Scottsdale’s better-connected places to live.
