Latest Construction Photos Of Optima McDowell Mountain Village
New OMMV Construction Photos - April 2024
Hello everyone. The last time we did a photo update for construction at Optima McDowell Mountain Village was on January 28th. If you look at the link, you'll see no crane on site and no rebar or vertical construction. As of early April 2024? That has all changed. This project is vertical. And that is exciting. Much work is being done on the subterranean parking and the first of six buildings. A partnership with Mitsui Fudosan America marks a significant step forward, highlighting the expansive scope and luxury of the project. Exciting, right?
Construction Progress
Since our last update, the site has been a flurry of activity with significant milestones:
- Cranes Erected: The skyline now features towering cranes essential for high-rise construction.
- Rebar Installation: Frameworks forming the skeleton of the future residences are now visible.
- Vertical Development: Structures are rising above ground, changing the landscape daily.
These developments are tangible signs of progress as Optima Inc. pushes forward with the construction.
Upcoming Construction
The pace is set to accelerate with upcoming phases:
- Groundwork for First Condo Building: The foundation for luxury living is being laid.
- Continuation on Apartment Structures: More buildings will start to take shape soon.
These steps are crucial as they bring us closer to completing the ambitious vision for Optima McDowell Mountain Village.

About OMMV
David Hovey Sr. and his son, David Hovey Jr., are the brains behind the design of these six new buildings that are popping up, and let us tell you, they're bringing the same kind of flair we've seen in their work around Arizona. Each building is going to have its own little slice of paradise with amenities that'll make you feel like you're on vacation every day.
Imagine kicking back on a rooftop sky deck, where you can swim laps in a massive 50-meter pool that's fit for the Olympics, or just chill out in the sauna or spa. If you're feeling brave, there's even a cold plunge pool to jump into. For those who like to stay active, there's a running track right on the roof, hugging the building's edge. And for the evenings, picture yourself hanging out by the fire pits, lounging around, or cooking up a storm in the outdoor kitchens (complete with barbecues and dining areas). There are even these cozy arbors draped with vines for a bit of shade.
No matter which rooftop you find yourself on, the views are going to be something else. You'll get to see the McDowell Mountains stretching out to the east, catch some stunning sunsets in the west, look up to Pinnacle Peak in the north, or gaze down at Camelback Mountain to the south. It's like getting a front-row seat to the best of nature's shows, right from the comfort of your own home.
