City Information For Independence Day

July 4 is Independence Day, and most city offices and facilities will be closed. Take note of these changes:

  • McDowell Sonoran Preserve closure from noon July 4
  • Use of fireworks restricted in specific areas
  • Firework safety information available

Improving Scottsdale's Senior Services

Scottsdale Senior Services is on a mission to enrich experiences at both the Granite Reef and Via Linda senior centers. They highly value your thoughts and suggestions:

  • Call for Input: The city of Scottsdale is keen to hear your thoughts on various offerings, including programs, events, and workshops. You're welcome to participate in an online survey or give your feedback directly at the centers.
  • Reintroduction of Saturday Service: Big news! Starting from Saturday, July 8, both Granite Reef and Via Linda senior centers will reopen for Saturday hours, from 8 a.m. to noon. This is a welcome shift after the weekend closures enforced during the COVID-19 pandemic.
