101 Expansion

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is gearing up for a new infrastructure project in Scottsdale. Slated to begin in January, this venture involves EXPANDING LOOP 101. The work will happen particularly between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive. This is good news considering the growing traffic demands in the area. The Loop 101 Improvement Project is ambitious, reflecting ADOT's commitment to ENHANCING roadway efficiency:

• Budget: 8 million
• Duration: Approximately two years
• Scope: Widening Loop 101 by one lane in each direction over a 4.5-mile zone

Beyond adding lanes, the project encompasses several KEY ENHANCEMENTS:

• Interchange Conversion: Loop 101 interchange at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard
• Turn-Lane Improvements: At Shea Boulevard, Raintree Drive, and Princess Drive/Pima Road
• New Infrastructure: Including retaining and sound walls, signage, and lighting

This project, funded partly by Proposition 400, reflects a concerted effort to modernize and improve the region's transportation infrastructure, aligning with the broader Regional Transportation Plan. FNF Construction Inc. takes the helm as the PRIME CONTRACTOR.
