Troon North

Troon North is an approx. 1,800-acre master-planned golf community in North Scottsdale, set around Pinnacle Peak and the surrounding Sonoran Desert. Granite boulders, saguaros, desert washes, golf fairways, and mountain views shape the landscape. Real estate in Troon North includes custom homes, single-family residences, townhomes, golf course properties, and select custom homesites.

The community is distinct from nearby Troon Village, which sits farther south around Troon Mountain and Troon Country Club. Troon North has its own identity, neighborhoods, golf courses, parks, and desert setting. Development began in the late 1980s, with established homes and newer custom construction spread throughout the area.

Homes, Golf, & Outdoor Living

Troon North puts golf and desert recreation close to home. Residential neighborhoods surround two championship courses, while parks and trail connections add another layer to the community.

  • Real Estate Options: Custom homes, semi-custom residences, townhomes, single-family homes, golf course properties, and custom homesites are found throughout Troon North.
  • Monument Course: The 18-hole Monument Course was originally designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, with later renovation work by Weiskopf.
  • Pinnacle Course: The second 18-hole course at Troon North Golf Club adds another distinct desert layout within the community.
  • Golf Access: Troon North Golf Club offers public tee times, with separate membership opportunities also available.
  • Community Park: The Troon North Community Park includes tennis, pickleball, basketball, picnic areas, open grass, and recreation space for association residents.
  • Desert Recreation: Nearby trailheads connect with the McDowell Sonoran Preserve and surrounding desert for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and additional outdoor recreation.
  • Golf Course Homes: Select properties sit along the Monument and Pinnacle courses, with additional homes oriented toward Pinnacle Peak, boulder formations, or open desert.

The Troon North Lifestyle

Golf is central here, but the landscape carries just as much weight. Homes sit among granite formations, saguaros, desert washes, and elevated terrain near Pinnacle Peak. The result is a distinctly North Scottsdale setting with golf course views, custom architecture, and extensive outdoor recreation close by.

Troon Village is nearby, but it should be viewed as a separate community with its own golf club and residential structure. Troon North stays centered around the Monument and Pinnacle courses, its own neighborhoods, and the high Sonoran Desert around Pinnacle Peak. That gives Troon North real estate a clear identity within this part of Scottsdale.
