Old Town Scottsdale is where the city’s history and its more polished urban side meet. Historic storefronts, art galleries, restaurants, hotels, nightlife, public spaces, and luxury shopping all come together in a relatively compact part of Scottsdale. Old Town isn’t one neighborhood with one personality. Different pockets offer very different ways to live.

Living In Old Town Scottsdale

Living in Old Town can mean coffee near the canal in the morning, an afternoon at Fashion Square or the galleries, and dinner a few blocks from home. It is one of Scottsdale’s most pedestrian-friendly areas, but you don’t have to live in the middle of the action. Some condo communities sit closer to the Waterfront and shopping, while others are tucked into quieter pockets around the edges of downtown.

The housing choices make it even more interesting. A residence at Optima Camelview feels completely different from a Scottsdale Waterfront condo, a loft, a townhome, or a smaller boutique building. Add restaurants, art, luxury shopping, hotels, events, and Camelback Mountain rising just beyond the cityscape, and Old Town offers a side of Scottsdale you simply don’t get in the larger master-planned communities farther north.
