Bankruptcy Court Clears $32M To Move Construction Forward

Here’s what happened.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court approved up to $32 million in debtor in possession financing for the developer of Ritz Carlton, Paradise Valley. A large portion of that capital is allocated directly to completing the residential Villas.

That approval gives the project breathing room. It allows construction to advance. It provides operating capital while the company works through its Chapter 11 restructuring process.

Another important point. Sales have not stopped.

Before the Chapter 11 filing, dozens of the 80 planned Villas had already closed, with many more under contract. Since the restructuring began, additional units have sold, totaling tens of millions in recorded volume.

The court has authorized pending and future Villa closings to move forward.
