Arcadia

This desert oasis of beautifully landscaped Phoenix, Arizona homes was named for Virgil’s Arcadia: a peaceful, pastoral region of ancient Greece. Featuring custom-built homes from the 1920s to 1950s, architectural styles range from the Ranch to the Pueblo, Revival, and a blend of old and new.

Many of these estates have been meticulously maintained and updated over the years, making it one of the most desirable and priciest neighborhoods in Phoenix. Arcadia is located just minutes from several upscale shopping and dining venues including Biltmore Fashion Park (24th Street & Camelback, Phoenix) and Scottsdale Fashion Square (Scottsdale Road & Camelback, Scottsdale). A short 15-minute drive will get you to downtown Phoenix, Old Town Scottsdale, or Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Part of Arcadia touches the western edge of Scottsdale and is within minutes from Scottsdale Fashion Square while some of the area is in Phoenix but still close to downtown Scottsdale. Much of Arcadia was a large citrus grove and it is common to have a front lawn full of citrus trees. Lush green manicured lawns, large oleander hedges, huge mature trees, palms, and a scent of orange blossoms in the air in the spring all create a unique climate in this area. Camelback Mountain looms over the neighborhood with its eternal beauty.

Arcadia, where right-there views of Camelback Mountain abound and mini-citrus orchards and carpets of soft grass dominate the acreage surrounding traditional sprawling ranch homes and contemporary custom estates. Luxurious mountainside mansions flaunt to-die-for city views, while a number of country club-type communities are nestled around championship golf courses.
