Chandler

Chandler as we know it today traces its roots back to 1891. Founded by Dr. Alexander John Chandler, the city’s first national marketing campaign brought in 300 speculators from around the country who staked their claim in and around what is now downtown. Real estate in Chandler is as diverse and abundant as one might expect from Arizona’s fourth-largest city. From the Old World Tuscan-style homes at Markwood North to the desert-inspired aesthetic of Fox Crossing and the sprawling waterfront estates in Ocotillo Lakes, there is a luxury home to fit every personality. Chandler is a popular place for families, who flock to this pocket of Phoenix’s East Valley for its award-winning schools and easy-going way of life. It’s also one of the region’s most tech-rich communities – Orbital ATK, Intel, Microchip and PayPal all have major operational outposts in Chandler.

Chandler offers a mix of art and culture activities for all ages, at several public venues, most of which are managed by the Community Services Department. The Chandler Center for the Arts, Vision Gallery, Chandler Museum and Chandler Public Library each offer residents and visitors a variety of services, programs, activities and special events on a year-round basis. With five championship courses including Arizona’s original golf resort, Chandler golf offers lush fairways, expansive views and great golf values in the Valley of the Sun. There are also private galleries, museums, festivals and organizations that add to the vibrant culture in Downtown Chandler and beyond. You will enjoy the diverse community with its fabulous restaurants of every cuisine, premier shopping, arts and culture and a wide range of things to do all year-round.

Downtown Chandler has a little something for everyone, whether you are looking for a chic party venue, checking out the best in local brew and wine, shopping for the latest one-of-a-kind fashion accessory or just want to enjoy a delicious meal with friends.

Chandler is an excellent place to relocate, whether you are coming from another state or looking to move from another part of the metropolitan Phoenix area. The area’s strong technology and excellent educational facilities provide the foundation for a comfortable lifestyle for individuals and families alike.
